Hypertherm gears up for IMTS with live waterjet cutting, comparative cutting displays, and live nesting and robotic software demonstrations
2016 – Hypertherm, a U.S. based manufacturer of plasma, laser, and waterjet cutting systems, is preparing for IMTS 2016. This year the company offers live waterjet cutting with a HyPrecision pump and PowerDredge abrasive removal system, comparative cutting displays, and demonstrations of its ProNest 2017 and Robotmaster robotic software.
Hypertherm is also partnering with WARDJet on the Build It! Challenge for mechanically-minded students. Teams will compete to build a working waterjet cutting system and win a waterjet for their school’s machining lab.
In addition, the company will present Robotic Programming for High-Mix Applications as part of the official IMTS educational program. Hypertherm Automation leader Peter Brahan partners with Chahe Bazmakjian, leader of Hypertherm’s Robotic Software team, to demonstrate how recent advances in programming are enabling a new wave of robotics in manufacturing.
