All trainings are at our Roosendaal, The Netherlands location.
Safety shoes are required for participation for all Technical training workshops!


HPR and Cut Optimization systems training (Mechanized systems training)

* For the second half of 2013 an additional on line essentials training is required at least 2 weeks before the training session in Roosendaal. If you don't pass the test, we will re-schedule you to the next available training session in Roosendaal.

These machine-specific service training classes are designed to provide in-depth technical information about our current plasma cutting systems. The focus of the class will be on understanding the subsystems and the sequence of operation of the machine. Hands on troubleshooting will reinforce the classroom experience and provide the attendee with a solid understanding of how these systems operate and how best to approach repair issues.

  • Design and function of power supply subsystems
  • Effective troubleshooting using knowledge of the sequence of operation
  • Installation best practices
  • Plasma process and cut optimization training

Preparation: Please complete the e-learning course “Essentials of Plasma Service” located at www.hyperthermcuttinginstitute.com. The course is only in English currently. You can use your Xnet username and password to log in. If you do not have an Xnet username, you can create one on the home page. The Automation Technical Service Training course is designed to provide Technical Service Professionals with the foundation needed to install and support the Hypertherm Automation family of products. This popular training workshop is a combination of classroom and interactive laboratory activities. Hands on exercises are used to assist attendees in the proper installation, setup and operation of our automation products while also familiarizing them with the Phoenix CNC software.

  • Motion control theory with live lab exercises
  • Product capabilities and differentiation of Hypertherm CNCs and torch height controls
  • Phoenix CNC software capabilities and navigation
  • Installation guidelines for common hardware configurations

CAD/CAM Nesting Software training - Online training

Hypertherm’s in house nesting software training courses are tailored specifically for our customers and the nesting software product range, training covers the general features of nesting software and will include the following subjects:

  • Importing CAD parts, VSP (Variable Shape Parts) and selecting plate sizes
  • Nesting parts manually and automatically
  • Cropping sheets
  • Cut sequencing and cut simulation
  • Report generation
  • Saving jobs and outputting CNC files

The training courses may also include specific information on the following subjects where applicable:

  • TrueHoleTM techniques and tips
  • Fiber Laser techniques and tips
  • Specific setups for CNC machine types including Plasma, Oxyfuel, Laser and Waterjet

Manual systems training

All trainings are at our Roosendaal, The Netherlands location.

First half training of 2013 will be hands on. Second half training will be available online.
Hands on training in Roosendaal will be available again in 2014 if requested.

This two-day course features activities and demonstrations designed to familiarize service technicians with the Powermax line (Powermax30/45/65/85 and 105). We will focus on the sequence of operation and subsystems and their functions. Attendees will practice technical service methods based on knowledge of the system and its function. Our goal is to provide a detailed, service-oriented set of explanations and exercises that will increase repair efficiency.

Prerequisite: Familiarity with constant current DC power supply maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
